Take the fear out of closing by being prepared and educated on the process.

  1. Determine who will conduct your closing.
  2. Ask the person conducting your closing what to expect.
  3. Review your closing disclosure.
  4. Bring your picture ID and appropriate payment.

On the day of your closing, the process will take approximately an hour. First your closer will make a copy of your ID and seat you in a closing room. The closing may include your agent, lender, the sellers, seller’s agent, and closer. The closer will go over all of your closing documents. Make sure all of your questions have been answered before signing the documents. Once you and the seller have both finished signing, your closer will step out of the office to send materials to the lender for approved funding. While waiting for approval, the seller’s closer will go over homesteading instructions for your new home. Once your closer has gotten approval to release the funds, they will give you copies of all the documents you signed.

Lastly, you will be given the keys to your new home!
